County-level growth statistics for the U.S. were released, and Utah County came in #1 in the state (SLC was #2). Utah County was #30 in the country. Utah’s economic prowess continues to shine and draw people to the state. More info here.

Kevin Costner’s $100 Million movie studio is ready for action in southern Utah. Built near the St. George airport, the studio hopes to lure more films and TV series to the state.

Governor Cox trolled Wisconsin regarding a new study on alcohol consumption by state (below).

Pica Rica BBQ is a newer restaurant in St. George. The plates there are incredible. It’s got a real Texas BBQ vibe and is a must-stop if you’re passing through Southern Utah (and if you live there, go this week!). Their brisket and ribs are to die for, as are the tacos. Local Sports News

The Jazz fell to the Wolves 128-102 last night; Anthony Edwards had 41 points. Their next game is tonight versus the Bulls.

The Utah Hockey Club beat the Canucks 3-1. They face the Oilers tomorrow as the playoff race heats up.

The BYU Men’s basketball team made the NCAA tournament as a 6th seed. They face VCU on Thursday. VCU is no slouch with a record of 28-6. If the Cougars can get that first game, I predict they beat Wisconsin in the second round and would likely face Alabama in the Sweet Sixteen. Bold prediction: They win that game on hot shooting from 3 and make the Elite 8!
