⛰️ Local News 📰
The Sundance Film Festival’s contract with the state of Utah ends next year, and there’s rumors they may go to a new state to hold the event going forward. That would be tough on our economy (and not to mention, likely a dumb decision by Sundance to leave the decades-long tradition). The state’s new budget proposal includes $3.5M allocated to the film festival, so local lawmakers are hopeful that we will be able to keep it here for years to come!
Governor Cox wants to build a nuclear power plant here in Utah, and released a video on X with his pitch (below).
Utah is ready to build advanced nuclear. Operation Gigawatt will drive down costs, deliver abundance, and make our state a net energy exporter.
We’re accelerating site selection, rightsizing regulation, and getting to work. This is about powering Utah and securing America. 🇺🇸
